The death tolls are rapidly rising after some terrible incidents across Indonesia. For a start there was a massive volcano
erruption. Mount Merapi is the volcano that errupted and all of the hot magma the Indonesia volcano spewed out has officially killed 28 people however the Indonesia volcano and tsunami double strike has confirmed upto 300 deaths.
On top of the Indonesia volcano, there was a massive and terrible Tsunami strike was several hundred miles away. We have all seen the devastation that a volcano and a tsunami strike can have in the past. This looks to be no different as there are currently 372 deaths from the Tsunami alone however there are more than 400 people currently listed as missing in the double Indonesia volcano and tsunami strike.
A lot of the killed people were done so fishing and the volcano is said to have burned most of the people it touched within minutes. This has to be one of the worst natural disasters ever to hit an area as I don’t think a volcano and a tsunami have hit at near enough the same time.
Why Did the Volcano and Tsunami Go Off?
Alot of people have asked my how/why both the indonesia volcano and a tsunami can arise at the same time. Basically, its a little bit of science and geography. Any area in which volcano’s exist, you can have earth quakes just as easy, if your volcano is near the sea then its possible that the earth quake can happen at sea. As we all know, this is how a Tsunami tends to be created!
