Fans of the drama series Downton Abbey are in for a real treat this Christmas with a two hour special on Christmas day being announced by ITV1 but all the cast and crew have been sworn to secrecy.

Lady Emma Fellow’s wife of the writer and creator of the show has had sneak preview of her husband’s work and reckons it will be a real belter of a show she said it was so good it will make you vomit!

Millions watched the final episode of the second series were the family was struck by the Spanish flu and Lavinia Swine Matthews betrothed died prompting hopes that finally Matthew and Lady Mary will get together. Dan Stevens who plays Matthew the love interest of Lady Mary played by Michelle Dockery posed for publicity shots.

With over 11.5 million views tuning into the show it has become the most popular drama series for a decade with a third series planed for the new year its rumoured to show the aftermath of war but will soon move into the roaring twenties.

Julian Fellows wife Emma, was a former Lady-in-Waiting to Princess Michael of Kent and great great niece of Lord Kitchener, he hopes the series will help people to have an insight into what people’s grandparents and great grandparents had to go through. He would not be drawn to comment on his wife’s views but thinks the show will be an excellent contender for the Christmas day ratings.
