Sony Bravia KDL 55EX500

The Sony Bravia KDL 55EX500 is one of the larger TVs in Sony’s range, it’s a LED back lit LCD unit. Sony have priced this TV the same as the KDL EX500; the main difference is that the EX500 uses 120Hz Motionflow Technology; which gives a smoother picture, especially when trying to watching fast action.

The Sony KDL 55EX500 offers full 1080P HD resolution and very fast frame rates. It comes with all the latest connectivity options including HDMI and USB.

The unit is powered by the Bravia 3 engine; you will be able to use a single remote with this TV and any other compatible Bravia Device.

Another nice feature is the ambiance sensor which allows the lighting levels to alter automatically depending on the room light.

Good Points:
•The Sony KDL EX500 comes with 4 HDMI ports; 2 on the back and two on the side.
•The menu system is easy to use and looks good with cool graphics.
•The outside has a smooth look with a nice silver bezel.
•Good quality and value for the price.
•The SD slot is great for watching home movies in HD quality up to 1080P
•It has a great picture quality.

Bad Points:
•The built in speakers are not the best; this seems to be a problem with many of the latest TV’s.
•The Motionflow can sometimes make movies look a bit strange.
