Manchester United takeover? selling to Qatar for £1.5 Billion

Manchester United TakeoverQatar is flexing its muscles once again after a contentious win of the World Cup finals in 2022 and the Barcelona shirt sponsorship deal for £125 million.

It’s looking like the business arm of the Qatar’s royal family named Qatar Holdings is behind the offer; it’s said they have been waiting to strike for some time.
The club is currently owned by the unpopular American family; the Glazers. A friend of the family has reportedly said they will inevitable sell the club but not for some time.

A Manchester United takeover has been attempted by a group of investors named the Red Knights joining with the Manchester United Supporters Trust; which failed.

There has also been a bid from an unnamed Qatar company in the past at £1.5 billion for the Manchester United takeover.

The Glazers bought Manchester United for £790 Million just five years ago. They are looking set to double their investment money.

The Qatar royal family is thought to have around £40 Billion in assets. It is thought they are the financers behind the £252 Million which the Glazers paid back against the debt of £752 Million which they placed on the club.

Qatar is looking to advance its world football presence with the Manchester United takeover, after winning the bid for the 2022 World Cup.

It’s thought fans will be happy to see the back of the Glazers and will welcome the oil money. Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson is sure to have great spending power compared with his Premiership rivals.
