The fight will be held at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, It’s a massive event there, with fine details, down to the fight details printed on all 5,000 rooms do not disturb signs.

What time does the Mayweather fight start?

The fight time is set for 1am UK time on May 5, that’s 9pm ET / 6pm PT, May 4th.

Where can I Watch the Mayweather fight?

The fight can be seen in the US on Showtime Pay-per-View at a cost of $69.95. For UK and internet viewers, BoxNation is the way to go, they are airing the fight on Sky channel 437 and Virgin channel 546, you will need to subscribe to the BoxNation channel, it’s pretty cheap at £10 per month with no minimum term and no registration fee. In the latest press conference Mayweather said Guerrero is one of the best fighters out there at the moment and that he needs to fight the best to go down in the hall of fame and to give the audiences excitement, are you going to watch the fight live?

Many are predicting this will be a pretty good matchup, the live Mayweather fight will be an interesting test as he comes to the end of his career, Mayweather is six years older than the 30 year old Guerrero.

Guerrero was talking big at the press conference, he said ‘records are made to be broken, May 4th, Floyd Mayweather’s records going to get broken, he’s going to have his first loss.’ He went on to say he’s been working hard to get where he is and he’s going to get it.

The most amazing thing about this fight is the money involved, just to watch the Mayweather fight live will cost $69.95 in the US for the Showtime pay-per-view. Robert Guerrero will get $3 million for the fight, while Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather will be taking home $32 million, simply amazing numbers. That pay-per-view price seems a little steep to me. Ringside tickets are going for $1,500 a pop.

Freddie Roach was recently interviewed, he said don’t take Guerrero lightly, he’s a tough kid, Guerrero sparred in Freddie’s gym for three years with the likes of Manny Pacquiao.

Wayne Mccullough said ‘Floyd Mayweather is the greatest fighter on the planet right now and it’s hard to go against him’, Mccullough also thinks Guerrero has a shot, he’s young and he’s hungry. He has moved up two weight divisions from his natural weight, but he’s a big guy.

The Apple iPhone has been one of the leading smartphones since the initial iPhone back in 2007, I still have the original model and it’s still going strong after six years – amazing.

Now there are some other big boy smartphones around form the likes of Samsung, HTC and Sony. With all this stiff competition Apple will need to pull something pretty special out of their box.

The iPhone 6 will need to be strong and fast with some excellent new features if Apple to hold it’s ever decreasing market share.

There are literally thousands of rumours flying around at the moment surrounding the iPhone 6, these include design, technology and new features, to name just a few, there are also numerous YouTube videos showing fanciful mock-ups including some hard to believe advances such as 3D projection renderings of your friends for conversations.

iPhone 6 Release Date

This is obviously the question everyone is asking, it really does depend if Apple are going to launch a iPhone 5S first. We are betting the iPhone 6 will be released summer 2013, one possible date sticking out amongst the rumours is 29 June 2013, apparently this has been based on Apples production schedule.

iPhone 6 Price

One of the most reliable things about Apple is their consistent,  high pricing, the iPhone 6 will presumably cost around £550 for the 16GB model, £650 for the 64GB and if there is a 128GB, it will probably be around the £750-£800 mark.

What new design features will the iPhone 6 have?

One of the very interesting rumours currently circulating is to do with the ‘Home Button’ or lack of it, the iPhone has always had a physical home button under the screen, however it may be time for Apple to scrap it in their new iPhone 6 design. As the phones have not changed all that much over the years, this may be one of the ‘big’ changes coming; they may opt for the Android style screen navigation buttons in the future.

Some sources are suggesting the iPhone 6 may have the Home Button moved to the side of the device, thus making more room for the screen, which would certainly make sense.

Will there be an iPhone 5S or a Budget iPhone?

Many people assume there will be a iPhone 5S before the iPhone 6 is released, at the moment we are not sure is this is true as Apple always keeps their cards close to their chest.

A budget iPhone would be welcomed by many as Apple is more than a little steep with their pricing. It would be a good idea for Apple to venture into the lower end of the smartphone market, this would get more people on iTunes and downloading all their music, videos and games from Apple.

Apple iPhone 6 will Not Use Samsung Chips

The iPhone 5 is powered by the Apple A6 chip which is manufactured by Samsung, the previous iPhone models also used Samsung chips. Rumours are suggesting that Apple will stop using Samsung processors, does this have anything to do with the disputes and lawsuits between the giant companies?

iPhone 6 Screen – Curved, Wraparound?

One of the rumours everyone is talking about is the screen, Apple has filed a patent for a special wraparound screen using the new flexible AMOLED screen technology. This would definitely make the iPhone 6 a ground-breaking phone. They may however be keeping this sort of screen for a future model, maybe the iPhone 7 or 8. The AMOLED flexible screens will be coming out soon, it’s just a case of who’s first, Samsung are usually pretty good with new innovations, who knows?

Samsung has just launched their new flagships smartphone, the Galaxy S4, this phone is the much anticipated successor of last year’s Galaxy S3, which managed to rack-up 40 million sales worldwide.

The S4 is more of an evolution rather than a revolution; certainly in terms of looks, it’s pretty identical, just slightly thinner and lighter, with a straighter back.

S4 Screen Size

The screen is slightly bigger at 5-inches, it’s a full 1080p HD Super AMOLED display as opposed to the 4.8-inch screen on the S3 model. The Galaxy S4 will initially be avaliable in two colour options, a frosty white and a black shade.

The Galaxy S4 will is running the latest Android operating system – 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Samsung have heavily customized the OS with their TouchWiz interface. There is a lot more gesture options and features.

Galaxy S4 Hardware Specs

When venturing under the hood of the new S4, you will find a new eight-core 1.6Ghz Exynos 5 Octa process, this is Samsung’s own power processor, eight-cores is really good for games and multi-tasking if you have many apps open at the same time. Sadly the folks in the USA will not be blessed with the same powerful processor; they will have to make do with ungenerous quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.9GHz chip, not sure what that’s all about.

As for RAM, the S4 comes with 2GB, more than enough for all those apps. Storage wise, you get 64GB for movies, photos, games, music and whatever else you want to store on there. The bonus with this phone is the microSD card slot, which allows up to 64GB of extra storage, that’s something you don’t get with the likes of the iPhone 5 or the HTC One.

S4 Cameras

The main camera on the back of the S4 is a 13-megapixel affair; that’s more pixels than my pocket camera packs. There are many new software fetures to jazz up you photos, including the option to add up to 9 seconds of audio to the still photo.

Another nifty feature is the ability to eradicate unwanted people in your photos, would be a handy feature on any camera I imagine. The front camera is a mere 2-megapixels, still perfect for video chatting. Video is 1080p full HD.

AirView

One of the great new features is AirView, this allows you to control the mobile by hovering your finger over content, which will then pop-up in a preview window.

Eye-tracking Features

One of the first implementations we have seen utilising the S4 eye-tracking system is named SmartPause, if you’re watching a video and look away from the screen, the S4 will detect that you have averted your gaze, using the front facing camera. It will then automatically pause the video, when you look back at the screen, the video will resume.

Galaxy S4 Apps & Software Features

Samsung has a new app named S Health which acts as a pedometer and can track your calories in and burned when you tell it what you’ve consumed.

The Galaxy S4 has an IR sender on the top of the unit, similar to the new HTC One, this will work together with an app, allowing you to control your television and home theatre system. You can also check current TV programs, view on-demand content with Samsung’s Media Hub, purchase it from the phone and then watch it on your big screen or directly on the phone.

Samsung S4 Worth the Upgrade from the S3?

Well that’s the big question..

Size

The S4’s physical appearance is pretty similar, with the biggest difference in the thinness, the S4 is 0.7mm thinner than the S3.

Weight

There is really not much between these two smartphones weight wise, the shiny new Galaxy S4 is lighter by just 3 grams, the S4 weighs 130g, and the S3 is 133g.

Display

The S4 has a slightly larger 5-inch screen, compared to the 4.8-inches on the S3. The display has been upgraded with a higher pixel density of 441 pixels per-inch, as opposed to the S3’s 306 pixels per inch. Its not going to make a huge difference in viewing pleasure, you’ll probably only notice the difference if your face is super close to the screen.

RAM

The amount of RAM has not changed on the US models, sticking at 2GB, however the global S3’s only had 1GB of RAM, so it’s an improvement for those of us in the UK.

S4 Battery Life

The battery on the S4 is a bit bigger and it needs to be as it’s powering a screen with over a million extra pixels compared to the S3. The S4 has a 2,600mAh battery; the S3 has a 2,100mAh battery. Many factors can determine the actual standby and call times, we will have a better idea after some testing.

S4 Camera, better than the S3?

Yes, the main camera on the S3 was an 8-megapixel deal, that’s shot up to 13-megapixels, a 5MP increase. The front camera has not improved much in the way of the pixels, with just a tenth of a megapixel increase, taking the 1.9MP on the S3 to a 2MP on the Galaxy S4.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a whole host of great new features, combined with new software, a great screen and camera. Does this make it worth the upgrade, well our advice would be to upgrade if you like the sound of all those bells and whistles, there’s nothing absolutely ground breaking here. If you already have a Galaxy S3, then you have one of the best phones around at the moment anyway, if your nearing upgrade time, then go for it.

Galaxy S4 Release Date & Price

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to land in the shops in April or May. We expect the S4 will cost around £500 sim Free. If you want one on contract, it’s likely to be around £30-£40 per month on a two-year deal.

Everybody’s talking about the new PlayStation 4 after the New York launch event of the much anticipated console earlier this week. Many were disappointed with the lack of an actual unit. In fact the only piece of hardware on show was the new DualShock 4 controller.

The new PS4 is going to have some serious power, with eight AMD Jaguar processing cores and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, there is also a next generation Radeon GPU on-board, for incredible, fluid graphics.

The DualShock 4 controller will have a few aesthetic changes and some new features, these include redesigned thumb sticks and shoulder buttons, move compatibility and a front facing touch-pad  Sony has decided to get rid of the Start and Select buttons, we have known since the inception of the PlayStation. The new controller will have Share and Options as the two main buttons.

One big frustration is the lack of backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 3, however there will be a streaming service available at some point in the future, the Sony Entertainment Network will stock everything from the PlayStation 1 classics to the PlayStation 3 hits.

Apparently PlayStation Move will play a large part in gaming on the new generation console, we don’t know how exactly as yet. There is no news on whether the Move system and DualShock 4 controller will be shipped with the PlayStation 4. So far launch titles include Killzone: Shadow Fall and The Witness.

PS4 Release Date? How much will the PS4 cost?

Sony did not give any details on pricing although many sources are going with an estimated price of around £300. The PS4 will be out sometime later in the year, it will be going up against Nintendo’s Wii U and the new generation Xbox. Looks like the new Xbox and PlayStation will be going head-to-head for a winter holiday season battle. Who will come out on top?

Gavin Rees, from Newport, Wales is hopping across the pond to fight Adrien Broner; a two-division world champion. Broner, 23, is a rising star in boxing with a flawless record of 25-0, with 21 Kos.

Rees, 32, has a record of 37-1-1, with 19 Kos. Rees said. “I will win the fight without a shadow of a doubt.’’

In a recent press conference, Broner said he didn’t know much about Rees, and then went on to speak about parts of Rees’s fight history. Rees has lost only one fight to Andreas Kotelnik back in 2008, since then he has won a 10 fights and drawn 1.

Broner has amazing hand speed, Rees if going to have a tough time keeping up, Rees has proven to be a good all round boxer, with great timing and distance skills.

Rees has been in New York for the last five weeks, getting used to fighting in the USA.  Rees has said he is in good shape and this fight means everything to him.

Apple’s latest offering, the iPhone 5 is a beast for sure, it bests the previous models hands down, its faster, lighter and thinner, but there is also ever growing competition from the likes of Samsung, with their S3 flagship. Or the Huawei Ascend P1 S, which is thinner.

The android operating system is getting slicker with every release, I still use an antique original iPhone, when I finally do an upgrade, it’s going to have to be an Android based phone. I really like the Motorola RAZR I with its super-fast Intel processor. One thing I can say with certainty is whichever mobile I finally choose, it won’t be an iPhone 5, I think they are overpriced for what they offer.

Right, now let’s take a look at the deals on offer for the iPhone 5. You can buy the phone direct from Apple on their website on in one of their high-street shops.

Shaun Buswell, a 36 year old from Swindon has recruited around seventy musicians to play a gig for charity. Buswell approached over three hundred people on the Tube and managed to get the orchestra together by the 12 December 2012, he has called the project the 12.12.12 Underground Orchestra Challenge.

The money raised from the event will go to the Daytrippers charity, they help children with disabilities and life limiting or terminal illnesses.

Buswell said: “Amazingly I found everyone I wanted apart from someone who played the English horn. And the last musician I found, who plays the euphonium, works Transport for London. It’s been an incredibly humbling experience.”

Buswell had a number of rules for the recruits, the initial meeting needed to be in the tube network and they had to be carrying there instrument. He also only recruited people he wasn’t already acquainted with.

Buswell said initially ticket sales were a bit slow, however with the recent media coverage they have started to pick up.

The comedian and former television presenter Jim Davidson has been arrested as part of the on-going investigation into the alleged sexual offences committed by Jimmy Savile and others.

Davidson, 59 was famous in the 1990’s hosting famous shows including The Generation Game and Big Break.

On Wednesday afternoon Police entered Jims home with evidence bags, he totally denies the allegations brought forward by two women. Davidson’s solicitor said the two allegations date back twenty five years and this would have put the women in their mid 20’s when the supposed crimes took place.

Davidson has not been charged with any offence at present.

It has been reported that Davidson is to be one of the contestants for the latest in the Celebrity Big Brother series, the rest of the line-up will be divulged on Thursday night. There’s no word on who may take his place.
