Xperia Play by Sony Ericsson

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a smartphone and also a dedicated portable gaming device. The Xperia Play runs on the Google Android operating system.

One of the key features is the slide out game controls which includes the standard PlayStation circle, X, square and triangle buttons. The controls also include a multi touch area for special games.

The Sony Xperia has a 1GHz processor and 512MB of Ram which is more than enough for fast paced gaming. There is 1GB of internal storage; you can also use a micro SD cards for more storage.
The screen is a touch sensitive 4 inches.

Pros:
It is running Google Android (2.3)
It has a FM transmitter and receiver.
The slide mechanism is very robust.
Fits neatly and snugly into one hand.

Cons:
It’s a bit nerdy to have a phone, probably best to have a smartphone and a PSP.
There is no HD video recording.
The casing doesn’t seem to be the best quality, a bit squeaky and creaky.
The display is quite dim; could do with being brighter.
A bit large and chunky as a everyday phone.
