High Speed Broadband Survives Government Cuts

Although there are more than a few cuts from the government this week in public sector jobs and spending reviews, there has been good news for those interested in the technological side of the world.

Rural Broadband is an idea that has been running for a few years now and will eventually be part of “free broadband” for the UK. Every government in power, believe that broadband in every single home is a must for the future. Rural broadband however, is a plan in which high speed broadband will be provided to the highlands and areas of the country that is difficult to reach.

We at Top News believe that this is a brilliant idea as I have once or twice, stayed in rural areas, and found using the internet a real struggle. This will also help rural farmers to find suppliers who might just be able to get a little bit more money for their produce.

The biggest bonus of the rural broadband survival, will be the opportunity to cut off towns and villages, to build and run websites in which their business can expand. This may help level out some inequality across the country. Are you in a rural area? If so we want to hear from you, do you welcome high speed broadband? Or are you happy being a little disconnected to the open world.
