The banks of the river Thames are lined with thousands of people ready for this year’s fireworks. The Mayor Boris Johnson has said the firework display will round off a year that ‘glimmered with excitement and enthusiasm’.
Up to around 250,000 are expected to be at the fireworks event in London, there is free transport on the busses, tubes and the Docklands Light Railway from 11:45 GMT until 4:30 GMT.
The fireworks were amazing, along with music from Dizzee Rascal and Rita Ora. We have added a video of the display below.
